Draft Hong Kong (Temporary Provisions)
Order in Council, 1942.
This draft has been prepared in order to
provide during enemy occupation of the Colony for
the transfer to the Secretary of State of certain
functions normally exercisable by the Governor of
Hong Kong or other authorities in Colony under
Colonial legislation. In particular it provides
legal authority for the disbursement under the
Secretary of State's direction of Hong Kong
Government funds held by the Crown Agents for the
Colonies for the purposes of the Government of the
Colony.
